Getting rid of old television is so difficult to dispose of properly. 105.9 WMAL highlights that in today’s world of ever growing technology had driven the popularity in hi-def flat screen televisions to the point where old tube televisions have become obsolete.
They are hard to resell and if you do manage to resell them you probably will not get much for it. Chief Marketing Officer of Goodwilll of Greater Washington, Brendan Hurley says, "Goodwill wants to try to be as donor-friendly as we possibly can, and typically if a donor wants to drop off something we will do our best to try to accept it.”
Old tube televisions are also very hard to dispose of because some of their components are made up of hazardous materials. So make sure you dispose of you out dated televisions properly by bringing them to your local recycling center.
