While Goodwill is extremely grateful for the immense generosity of those who donated their clothing and household goods to us this year, there are any number of ways you can still support Goodwill if your closet has been emptied.

MAKE A FINANCIAL CONTRIBUTION – Goodwill gladly accepts and encourages cash gifts.  We sell donated goods with the goal of converting those donations into cash to fund our many free job training programs for people with disabilities and disadvantages.  By making a cash gift even more of your money will support the cause by eliminating overhead costs required to run our stores and donation centers.

VOLUNTEER – Numerous opportunities are available to individuals and corporations, including:  trunk shows, thank-a-thons, days of service and more!  We’re also always looking for professionals to help with resume writing assistance, mock interviews and job fairs.

DONATE YOUR VEHICLE – Goodwill accepts donations of vehicles in any condition for the maximum tax deduction allowed by law.  In addition to cars, we accept boats, RVs, motorcycles…even lawn mowers!  Just call 1-866-829-7838 or visit www.GWCars.org.

YOUNG PROFESSIONALS COUNCIL – Join other young professionals in the DC metropolitan region for networking and fundraising opportunities that make a real and direct impact on our community in a fun and social atmosphere.  Visit ypc.dcgoodwill.org today!
