June 3, 2018 marks Goodwill of Greater Washington’s 83rd anniversary.  We were founded in 1935 by a dedicated group of local philanthropists who wanted to serve the greater Washington, DC community in a unique and impactful way.

Since we opened our doors, Goodwill of Greater Washington has served well over of 50,000 people, helping them get back on the road to success and self-sufficiency.  However, sometimes we still struggle with communicating exactly how shopping at and donating to Goodwill supports our mission.

In the following #NowYouKnow video, our President & CEO, Catherine Meloy, explains how your support for Goodwill impacts our community.  Feel free to share both the video and our mission.

Thank you from all of us at Goodwill of Greater Washington…and Happy Anniversary!
