Patricia's Success Story -Faces of GoodwillGoodwill of Greater Washington is known as a leader in developing the DC metro area’s workforce. But did you know we also employ people with disabilities?

We participate in the Ability One program which provides employment opportunities in the Federal Government for people with significant disabilities. If you work at Bolling Airforce Base, The National Gallery of Art, or the Food & Drug Administration, just to name a few, then you’ve probably had a Goodwill employee clean your office or building.

One of those employees could have been Patricia who is deaf and represents one of the more than 140 people with disabilities employed in our Contracts division. For seven years Patricia has been working for Goodwill of Greater Washington through Ability One.  She has overcome many challenges, but still has hope and inspires many of us here at Goodwill.

Learn more about Patricia’s story.
