Before Katrina came to Goodwill she faced numerous hardships in life. When she came across the HOPE (Hospitality Outreach Pathways to Employment) program, she prayed this would give her the opportunity she was seeking to gain employment in a growing industry.

Katrina almost gave up while in class because she was discouraged by a grade that she received on a test, but after a “pep talk” from a HOPE staff member she scored 100% on her next test and was able to graduate in September.

Katrina now has a new job in the hospitality industry that she longed for, making her dream a reality! Katrina says that her goal is to climb the ranks at Marriott and become a General Manager someday. We think she’ll do it!
