When you’re making plans for weekend shopping at your nearest Goodwill store, we thought it might be nice to help you plan for a full day of activities with (or without 😉) your family, that doesn't include a lot of extra driving!

Let’s start with our newest store in Gainesville, VA.

Urban Air Trampoline and Adventure Park happens to be right next door to our store! The indoor park offers trampolines, bumper cars, a ropes course, climbing walls, a warrior course, and more. It’s a great place for the kids to burn off some energy, or for you to enjoy a little adult fun!

The Little Goat Farm at the Lake features hands on enjoyment with baby goats and other animals. You can also pick flowers, and enjoy fresh cheese made on the farm. It’s a great place to have fun on a nice summer day.

The Believe Imagination Station is a two-story children's museum-style play space featuring interactive exhibits and is designed for families with children of all ages. Kids can explore community-inspired exhibits, or engage in fun drama, creative arts, science, and technology activities.

If you happen to be shopping at our Goodwill store in Bowie, MD, here are a few suggestions to help round out your day after a morning of Goodwill hunting:

The Laugh Out Loud Stations MEGA Fun Center is an indoor amusement center offering a toddler area, laser tag, a roller skating rink, arcade games, and rides like bumper cars and a trampoline park.

The Kidzden is an indoor playground designed for kids 10 and under, with a ball pit, slides, soft play, and party rooms.

The Crofton Bowling Centre is a classic alley with an arcade and snack bar not far from downtown Bowie.

In DC, there are always plenty of activities for you or the family after your Goodwill excursion. How about a few activities that are both fun and educational!

The National Children's Museum offers hands-on exhibits, a giant slide, and programs related to science, technology, engineering, arts, and math.

The International Spy Museum (a personal favorite) features interactive espionage exhibits, spy artifacts, and immersive games. There is something here for the entire family to enjoy!

Of course, no visit to DC is complete without a visit to the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum which offers a variety of aeronautical and space exhibits and a planetarium show.

If you’re more of an art lover, check out the National Gallery of Art - East Building where you can enjoy free, hands-on activities, art making, films, and special pop-up events. Fun Fact: Did you know that Goodwill Contracts Team Members provide superb ground maintenance services for this museum?!

No matter which Goodwill store is YOUR store, there are always plenty of fun things to do to complete your day after you’ve filled your shopping cart! Enjoy!!
