Any organization, whether it is a for-profit concern or a nonprofit mission, is only as good as the people who work there. They are the ones who create the culture that allows a company to perform at its best.
At Goodwill of Greater Washington, we value all our team members and truly value the passion they bring to our mission.
Meet Carol Murphy, our e-Commerce Assistant Manager. Carol’s job history featured a diverse and interesting collection of jobs. From tax accountant to working at an exotic pet farm, she has accomplished quite a lot.
In 2018, she decided to return to her native Washington, DC, to be closer to her son. She needed a job and came to Goodwill, thinking it was a good opportunity but not something she would stay with us.
Here we are, seven years later, and, as Carol says, she is part of a family. What really resonated with her, besides the workplace environment, was/is Goodwill’s commitment to sustainability. That is a core value for Carol and fuels her enthusiasm at work every single day.
Take two minutes to watch her video and see why Goodwill of Greater Washington is not only a great place to work but also makes a difference in the lives of our team members and in the communities we serve.
Thank you, Carol – we appreciate you!
