Josh Thomas is an Amazon Regional Director for the Sub Same Day business unit. He started his career over 15 years ago as a Manufacturing Engineer for Caterpillar Inc. in the Chicago, IL suburbs. While at Caterpillar, he had a progressive 10-year career leading the Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, and New Product Introduction departments. Amazon recruited him in 2016 to lead fulfillment center operations in Kansas City, KS. Within a few years at Amazon, Josh successfully led three fulfillment centers to top-tier sites and was promoted to a Multi-Site leader for the North East SSD Business. After launching an additional four fulfillment centers along the North East, Josh was promoted to Director of Operations, where he has responsibility for all SSD Operations from Virginia, to Ohio, to Massachusetts and everything in between. In 2019, he also started Washed Dads, a business that celebrates fatherhood and makes everything Dad cool. Washed is an acronym for We Are Super Hero’s Every Day.
Josh was born in Columbus, Ohio, and was raised there until he moved to Dayton, Ohio, for high school. He was the first in his extended family to attend college, and he graduated from Wright State University with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. Josh eventually returned to school while working full-time to obtain his Master’s in Business from DePaul University. He met his wife (Hasina) at WSU, and they celebrated 13 years of marriage. Josh considers himself a very proud parent to his 11-year-old daughter (Zoe) and 9-year-old son (Tate).
