Our mission is to transform lives through education and employment. The individuals we serve are facing the greatest impact of the pandemic: communities of color, people with disabilities and those facing barriers to economic stability. That mission carries more urgency when 1 in 5 neighbors have filed for unemployment and families struggle to meet basic needs.
Together, we can be part of the solution and give hope, confidence, and opportunity this holiday. Your gift allows people to receive no-cost training through Goodwill to rejoin the workforce or start new careers and helps meet student technology needs for online programs. Your gift today ensures families can begin the new year with the resources and support they need to thrive.
The CARES Act allows people to deduct up to $300 for cash gifts made in 2020 to registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations. Taxpayers can claim this deduction even if they take the standard deduction on their 2020 income taxes, which can lower both adjusted gross and taxable income. Those itemizing their 2020 taxes can also deduct up to 100% of their adjusted gross income toward charitable contributions, up from 60% in past years. Please visit the IRS website for more information and consult a tax advisor on how these changes may impact you.
