Since the establishment of our Goodwill, we’ve opened dozens of stores, donation centers, warehouses, schools, and other community-focused venues across DC, Maryland, and Virginia. And this year, we’re excited to celebrate significant anniversaries that remind us how Goodwill’s mission and overall presence in the community are essential and long-lasting. Despite global challenges and traumas such as The Great Depression and the current COVID-19 pandemic, we remain committed to serving those in need in our community, whether through providing quality items at great prices or offering free job training programs focused on profitable industries.

This year alone, we’re celebrating multiple location milestones that would make great Goodwill trivia questions. Later this year, we hope to plan some local community celebrations consisting of good deals, raffles, and complimentary refreshments. Follow us on social media for more updates.

We invite you to join us as we look at Goodwill’s community impact, made possible by our Goodwill stores and donation centers through interviews and videos that we have created to commemorate our mission. #DidYouKnow that over 91 cents of every dollar earned at our stores and donation centers fund our free job training programs and career services?

Meet Mohamed Elmadani, the most recent General Manager of our Glebe Road location.

We’d also like to introduce you to Kia Law, the current General Manager of our Falls Church, VA store.
