Computer Donations
Goodwill of Greater Washington and Dell Reconnect, together, offer consumers free recycling for any brand of computer equipment in any condition.
Some systems in working condition are refurbished and resold through Goodwill, creating green jobs to further support Goodwill’s mission of helping people with disabilities and disadvantages by providing education, training and career services. Others are recycled through the Dell Reconnect program.
Our goal is to divert over 2.7 million pounds of used computers and computer equipment from area landfills; and provide consumer education on the importance of environmentally-responsible computer disposal.
We accept all computers, printers, monitors, scanners, keyboards, computer speakers, and mice. All of your computer and computer-related items, in any condition, can be dropped off at one of our attended donation centers. If you are a residential donor and you have more than 8 CPUs, monitors, or printers, please contact our Transportation Department to schedule a donation pick-up.
*Due to regulatory issues, Goodwill of Greater Washington cannot accept computer donations from businesses or organizations.
