Ginny Badanes is the General Manager of Microsoft’s Tech for Society program, where she leads a global team focused on protecting communities, strengthening security, and building trust in technology. Her work spans safeguarding elections, supporting law enforcement, and advancing responsible innovation to ensure technology serves the public good.
With a background in both politics and technology, Ginny previously advised national political campaigns on data and digital strategy. She has been recognized on Washingtonian’s “Most Influential People” list since 2021 for her leadership in national security, defense, and good government.
A frequent speaker on technology and public policy, Ginny is known for bringing practical solutions and a collaborative approach to complex challenges. She is a proud Duke University alum and serves on the board of visitors for the Sanford School of Public Policy. Ginny lives in Arlington, Virginia with her husband and their three energetic boys.
