Housed in a state-of-the-art warehouse in Woodbridge, VA, is Goodwill of Greater Washington's innovative E-Commerce division.
Each week, donors contribute hundreds of unique treasures to Goodwill, which we carefully process at our donation centers. With the support of our Transportation Team, these items are then transported to our E-Commerce facility, where they are meticulously inspected and researched before being listed on Goodwill's online store, ShopGoodwill (www.shop.dcgoodwill.org).
Among these collectibles are bundles of dazzling gems and museum-worthy jewelry pieces. From antique cameos to 14-karat gold and diamond rings, the Goodwill Team Members in our Jewelry Department are constantly excited to discover and evaluate items for our virtual store.
For this quarter's Team feature, we are proud to introduce you to the dedicated individuals who test, clean, and list all of our nonprofit's donated gems and jewels—Goodwill of Greater Washington's E-Commerce Jewelry Team!
This small but mighty team works diligently to ensure that Goodwill shoppers can acquire the most beautiful and well-researched pieces offered by our nonprofit. Each item listed by this department undergoes a thorough vetting process, culminating in a bright and crisp photo shoot that captures the sparkle of Goodwill finds under the camera lens.

We invite you to check out this spotlight, led by April Hawley, our E-Commerce Jewelry Assistant Manager, to get a behind-the-scenes look at our enlightening processes. You’ll see just how much care and passion goes into every aspect of our E-Commerce operations. Thank you to our Jewelry Team for all that you do to ensure our customers are satisfied while supporting our local nonprofit's mission!
